Photography and my MacBook.

Sorry I haven't had a blog post for a while, I've just been busy with college. So here we go.

I am currently doing Photography at A-Level and love it. Although I don't like being told what to take pictures of or having to go learn how to use a DSLR in full manual mode by myself when the tutors are meant to teach us but other than that I love it. I also enjoy going off my own back and taking random photographs with my lovely new Sony a200k.

I then love going home and loading them up in Aperture on my Aluminium MacBook 2.4Ghz and getting down and dirty with editing them, changing saturation and exposures and all that jazz!

The thing I don't like about this process is the results I get from this. And what I mean is how the photographs look after editing them. This is because of the MacBooks glossy display. I do have an external display but no adapter yet. Nearly all my photographs after editing and making them look just right on it come out really dark on other displays. I've been told to lighten photographs up by tutors, friends and random people that have seen them. The thing is when I look at them I just think the lighting is fine. This is getting very frustrating.

I know that when Photoshop when it was installed added some new display options but this is again annoying to go into and change every time I want to edit a photo.

Anyway, I hope to add another post soon as I do enjoy writing!!

2009! Yeah it's late! :)

Hello to all who read this!

Well this is my first blog post of 2009! and well I writing this because I actually have nothing else to do. I could have done a blog post at any point this week because I have been off ill with the 'bug' that is going around. Now I have been doing work this week so I'm not that far behind. So because this is the first post of 2009, I would like to wish you all a happy 2009!! Anyway I don't have much to say in this other than I can't wait for summer to come round for me to start going for walks to take pictures!!

Work today and college tomorrow.

Hi peeps,

Jon here obviously. I just wanted to update you on how my first day at work went. I got there about ten minutes early just to be on the safe side. I then had to watch two hours of safety videos before I could work! One work to say about that... BORING! I then worked from 1pm too 4:30 and I have to say it's pretty easy work. I am working again next Saturday and Sunday. 

Well when I got home I got dinner and then went upstairs to my room and watched some podcasts while waiting for Top Gear to come one. As always Top Gear was awesome. I'm now writing this blog post after watching TG and I will shortly be going up to bed as I need all the sleep I can get because I have college tomorrow. I haven't been to college for a week, so I think I will have some work to catch up on. Anyway, I am going to go to bed so night peeps.

Work!

Right well a quick post before I go to sleep. I start work at Comet tomorrow and I can't wait till I start earning money! Today I have been to have my hair cut and I love it! I then spent the rest of the day watching old podcasts and playing Fable 2 on the 360! I also watched a film called Crossroads that was made in 1986 which is an amazing musical film! While watching some of the podcasts I did tidy my room up a little too.

I've only been in maybe 15 minutes as I went out with my parents to a family friends house to watch X Factor. I thought about writing this blog post there but I just couldn't be bothered.

So thats it from me for now, I will most likely have another post up tomorrow and I was also thinking of making a YouTube video tomorrow. I will keep you up to date on how it goes tomorrow too!

Christmas Shopping

Hello to you all, I never did do a blog post yesterday. oh well. I don't really know what to say in this blog post either other than right now I'm in bed and I'm watching Star Wars Episode III. I think later I will be playing Fable 2 which I bought for only £20 brand new yesterday. Also yesterday I started my christmas shopping. I bought my dad a present (I already have one that my mum bought for me), and I also bought my mum two presents. Beth, Beth's mum and two brothers came round for dinner yesterday which was fun because me and her brothers just played the 360.

Well thats it really from me, I think I might make a written review of Fable 2.

Profile

Well I've just written out my profile for Blogspot again and I think I'm happy with it. I'm not in college again today, I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't know why I'm feeling so bloody tired all the time. 

I'm sat here writing this blog post and my mum has just finished putting the decorations on the main christmas tree. She has one more tree to do for the conservatory and thats it apart from a couple of ornaments dotted around. I will also be having a small christmas tree for my room too.

I plan on making a new room tour video for YouTube at some point over the holidays too. Last night I made a list of christmas presents I wish to buy for people. It looks like its going to cost me a lot of money this chrimbo! 

Its currently 11AM right not while I am writing this. So far today I have watched an episode of Heroes which I must say was awesome. I think today I could do with going and getting a couple of presents for people. Maybe later I will. 

Well thats it from me, again if I think of anything else then I will have another post. And if I don't then there will be another post tomorrow.

Update, new notebook and new job!

Hey guys,

Haven't posted in a long time, neither have I been keeping you all up to date on things. Well let me fill you in, since my last update I have been getting on with college life using all those wonderful macs (Although I mainly use my own). I have gotten rid of my old white MacBook and it has been replaced with a brand new 2.0GHz Unibody model. This notebook is a great computer for anyone thinking of getting one. 

I am currently writing this at 23:06 on the 2nd of December, this is because I can't get to sleep. I will most likely finish this post tomorrow if and when I get into college in the morning. Other than that there isn't really much for me to say right now. I've recently just got a job working for Comet in the stock room, this should only be for the holidays but I hope to keep the job after to try and earn more money through the rest of college. My first shift is this Sunday and 11AM and I really can't wait! 

I want to try and update every week and if I can write a small blog everyday. So I think I am going to post this tonight and do another one tomorrow night.
